The euro lock cylinder on the uPVC door was from the Yale Superior Series which comes with its dimple & trace security keys and coded card which requires the homeowner to present the card at the key cutters if extra keys are needed.

To prevent the roof loads from distorting & impairing the function of the door & windows, the door & window frames were metal reinforced & had 2 baypole jacks built into the windows. This provided a safe means of transferring the roof loads down to the brick wall.
