There was a 30 year old lean-to extension at the rear of the house which was not fit for purpose and was dismantle by the homeowner.
My job was to remove the garden double doors and sidelights then extend the floor area approximately 600 mm by building a bay extension, fortunately the original bay walls were already present but had been knocked down to the level of the existing floor in the living room and just involved building the new walls off the original walls.
Although this was a mini extension, it was no less complicated and involved bricklaying, carpentry, roofing, pebble dashing, plastering and painting.
The results have completely transformed the inside of the living room with daylight flooding the room which gives a fresh and modern design.
The back of the house has been dramatically changed with the new bay extension and new pebble dashing not just to the bay walls but the whole exterior elevation of the house which has blended seamlessly.
The pebble dashing was done by a local company in Streatham SW16.
